dusk to dawn — by Manoncey

Poem No. 003 On a page14.08.2026

For the record

I climbed a mountain,
I also forgot to make my bed.
I don't have to guess,
I already know,
Which one you'll bring up first.

I graduated with honour,
I carry the groceries up nine floors,
I'm scared of pigeons. I feel sorry for them anyway.

I survived and found a way to thrive even after mom died.

I got a promotion at work,
I forgot to water one of your 30 plants.

We both know which ones you'll remember.
I already know but I still hope,
That someday,
Maybe someday,
You'll count everything, not just what's missing.
